Flower Bowl entertainment centre, Preston The Cinema. When we were approached by Barton Grange to build the new venue, we were both excited and a little nervous as this was a job bigger than we are normally used to. But it was a great opportunity for us to roll our sleeves up, flex our muscles and show what can offer on a larger scale! This big job involved around 800m2 of mezzanine being built, moving around 5 tonnes of plasterboard in a day to build the cinema as well as insulation, metal framework and we completed it all. This is a unique cinema with sofa, side tables and foot stools for a really relaxing experience when viewing. The Curling Rink This is something we have definitely not done before and probably will never do again. There were lots of challenges involved with the curling rink that we had to overcome, water, ice, room temperature along with working closely with the designers and building owners. Thankfully everything went to plan, and it still looks as impressive now as the day it was built in 2018. Crazy Golf We got to have some really good fun designing the crazy golf and building the holes which are all unique. Different themes such Japan, cutting out old whiskey barrels for hole 18 and windmill working around dinosaurs, pirates, and a trampoline for hole 6 was one of our favourites to complete. The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre involved lots of bespoke joinery, the entrance to the Blooms Restaurant is an upside down old florists shop and the Ocean restaurant has a huge feature wall, we loved this job as it was new and exciting.
